Eastcott Community Centre
Some of the Covid-19 rules changed in May 2021. For the Community centre this means that more activities are taking place than before, including indoor exercise classes.
We are currently working on a phased return to private event bookings (including children's parties). We will consider events on Sunday afternoons at this time. Bookings can be made via our website. We plan to review this again in May/June 2023.
If you've previously attended an activity or class at the centre, please contact the organiser for more information about any arrangements to restart.
As well as welcoming existing hirers back, we are able to consider new hire requests from organisations for activity which is legally allowed to take place under covid rules and if we have availability. In addition to agreeing to our terms and conditions, groups would also need to have risk assessments (to include covid risk assessments) and their own insurance.
Our availability is limited as we have one of our two halls in use (the largest) to promote social distancing, and need to have time to clean in between hires.

Welcome to Eastcott Community Centre
Eastcott Community Centre is run and managed by volunteers of Eastcott Community Organisation, a registered charity. Our charitable objectives are to increase opportunities for people living in and around Eastcott.
Eastcott Community Centre is a Swindon Borough Council building, which can trace its heritage back to James ‘Raggy’ Powell, a rag and bone man and philanthropist in Swindon. In 1918 he donated the land on which the community centre is built for community use.
We are passionate about being the heart of the community of Eastcott; caring for this community centred property and visitors are at the heart of all we do.

The end times reflect our commitment to avoiding disturbance for local residents when hirers/guests leave events. For the same reason, we may also refuse late or long bookings on consecutive weekend days and will consider this on a case-by-case basis when you submit your booking request.
It is not normally possible to have more than one party/event hire per day, due to the cleaning/drying process in between the bookings.
Please let us know if you'd like a viewing - this may be available on Tuesday or Friday morning subject to availability.
